Greg Norman, “the Great White Shark”, has won 86 professional events around the world, including 20 U.S. PGA Tour titles. Recently, he is playing in the Johnnie Walker Open, and I wish him luck on the course. He not only is a world renown golfer, but he also designs golf courses, has a very successful clothing line, and has several vineyards where he produces his own wine. Mr. Norman also is involved with several charities. Curesearch, which “supports the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), the world’s largest cooperative pediatric cancer research network of physicians, nurses and scientists who represent every childhood cancer program in North America and treat over 90% of children with cancer,” and the Greg Norman Golf Foundation, which helps to fund the tuition of Queensland junior golfers, just to name a couple. He is quite the businessman and has many different projects, as you can see, but he has never forgotten his roots. “Once, I was an assistant pro making $28 a week. I can never forget where I came from.” I encourage you all to check out his site, www.shark.com to see for yourself all that he has done and is doing, and to support him.

Don Sjoerdsma is editor in chief of the IUN Phoenix, a very entertaining local newspaper. He and I have known each other for some time, and even though he’s a liberal (yeah, I know) he is a good guy and does a great job running his newspaper. I especially like that John Norris fellow, he’s quite the writer. Check them out at www.iun.edu/~phoenix/

Dave Beckham is the owner of the Conservative Cafe in Crown Point, just a hop, skip, and a jump away from my base here in Hebron. The food is great, the coffee’s great, and what’s better than enjoying a ham sandwich while watching Fox News? I’d stay there all day if there was smoking section, however with the no smoking in any public building policy enacted by the communists, I understand that isn’t possible. Check out their site, www.conservativecafe.com for directions, menus, and conservative apparel.

A great site that everybody should check out is www.bluecountyredstate.blogspot.com. Eric Kreig, aka Buzzcut, is the host of the site and is a similar site to mine as far as it is a politically driven forum where you can read his thoughts and comment on them, as well. Buzzcuts primary objective is to turn Lake County, Indiana into a red county (like my county, Porter) because as anyone who lives in Northwest Indiana knows, Lake County has been overrun with libs for a while now. The taxes are high, the welfare is rampant, and I’m going to do whatever I can to help Eric achieve that goal. Check it often!

Mike Huckabee is a strong supporter of the fair tax, as am I. If you would like more information and would like to sign up, they will tell you how to help them out on their site, http://www.fairtax.org/

Kevin Tracy has been a HUGE help in setting up this site, and I thank you very much. I have had him on for several shows, and is my “foreign affairs” go-to-guy. Check out his site at www.ktracy.com and read up on his blogs.

Also, be sure to vist Porter County Politcs at http://reasonbellpundit.blogspot.com. There are some great bloggers on there (including mwuah) with some really inciteful commentary.

  1. Thanks for the link Travis, makes me think I better check out my sidebar links and make sure you’re on there. I tend to forget to update those often. At least I have some, Kevin’s site is empty now!
